Saturday, May 06, 2006 : Bridget's celebration
went out juz now with Bridget & Marie to celebrate Bridget's 21st birthday!! it's been a long time since i've seen both of them...! Marie in particular! she's kinda alwaes like MIA (Missing In Action) sia...! u call her or sms her, she will take ultra long to reply...! but at least we get to meet up when we asked her out! =) was supposed to meet Bridget at 1530 at Plaza Singapura (PS)..! was supposed to meet her 1st...but Marie called to ask me wat time i'm leaving the house! i was really confused coz Bridget told me that Marie will b meeting us late, due her lesson ending at 4! but ended up, Marie was kinda doing wat she does best! skipping lessons! hahaha...so i met up with Marie at Bedok Control Station...! but being the seasoned late queen..i was late in meeting Marie & even more late at meeting Bridget! was supposed to meet Bridget at 1530...ended up i met up with Marie at 1515! took a train down, den we saw someone we know from secondary school..! Audrey Tay! LoLx...but she was dozing off on her seat...den we didn't feel like saying hi! LoLx...actually it took us, or rather me quite long to recognize her! we were like: "OMG...isn't that Audrey Tay!" LoLx..it was funny....& we both were sneaking peeks at her to see whether she notice us or not! kinda like a peeping tom! LoLx..! when we reached Dhoby Ghaut, Marie & I were like betting wat Bridget will wear! ended up, we were both half correct! coz i was betting that Bridget will wear a yellow top with a skirt, while Marie betted that Bridget will wear a white top with a pair of jeans! LoLx...so in the end i was right abt the skirt while Marie was right abt the white top! although she wore an orange cardigan over the white top... intially, we wanted to catch a movie at PS....but the movies over dere was really like...wat the hell! i don't even noe wat kind of title are they lor...! if i donnoe...den how do u expect me to watch?! ok...it was partly my fault for not checking out wat kind of show are available! but i tot it was really Bridget's responsibilty to check it out...! since she was the 1 who asked us out! hehe... since we donno half of the title...we decided to walk over to cineleisure to check the movies available...! it kinda is the same as the 1s in PS...they had offered movies den in PS...! kinda forgot wat movies they had...but we watched "Find Me Guilty" in the end! it's a Van Diesel movie...! the 1st look was that u wldn't even recognize it's even Van Diesel! coz he went fat!! really fat from his xXx & Chornicles of Riddick!  in the movie, he played Giacomo "Jackie Dee" DiNorscio. the movie is based on a true story of that guy, Jackie...! he was serving his 30-yr sentence, when he was offerend an opportunity to shorten his time by testifying many of his closest friends. But he refuses to betray his "family", and goes as far as to defend himself in what will ultimately become the longest criminal trial of its time. he was at 1st daunted by the complicated politics of the courtrm, Jackie takes over the spotlight confiortably, insisting "I'm no gangster....I'm a gagster." With his sheer determination & unconditional loyalty, he never fails to surprise even those most skeptical of his intentions. the trial was called the Lucchese trail...it ended aft 21mths...! it became the longest in U.S criminal history, and has continued to stand out over the years as an unique moment in courtroom history, featuring 20 defendents, 20 defense attorneys, and unusually extensive summations; 1 defense lawyer's closing statement ran for 5days alone. Wow...that's alot of history behind the show...! but wat really makes it funny was how Jackie manage to turn the whole courtroom to his advantage...by making the jurors liking him, saying that he's funny!!  there's dis lawyer, Sean Kierney, whose sole goal is to bring the Lucchese family to jail! he will be sweating buckets, whenever he keeps hearing the jurors liking Jackie! den there's dis midget lawyer, Ben Klandis, giving his no-nonsense look...! if looks could kill...im sure when he looks at u, u will feel u did something wrong regardless of anything...! after the movie, we had our dinner at Pepper Lunch at Taka...! Bridget was treating us...! wwweee...Marie was teasing her by telling her that, she shld bring us to Paragon for meal! theb steak place restaruant, Lawry's, coz Bridget was like don haf any budget for the treat! LoLx...hahaha...  i had sirloin steak...we were like a couple of idiots there...! coz we serious haf no idea wat to eat, how to cook the meat & worse of all, have no idea we haf to find our food 1st den seats later! LoLx...really feeling stupid...! the sirloin steak was gd...i wanted to haf it medium-rare...but it ended up medium...kinda tough to bite! damn..but the meal was really filling...mayb u guys shld try it nxt time! =) here's now the photos of my tution kids...sorry only 2of them are available...Lynette & Wee Lim.
